Visiting Hours

Visitors are welcome at UMCSNVisitors are an important part of the healing process, and we encourage family and friends to visit. For the well-being of the patient, visitors are asked to please observe the following guidelines:

  • Inpatient general visitation hours are 10:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m.
  • Visitors will be limited to 2 per patient and all others will be directed to a waiting area.
  • The hospitalized patient may identify a liaison that will generally be able to visit at any time during their hospital stay (24 hours a day, 7 days a week). The liaison is someone who normally provides the patient with significant physical, psychological or emotional support. All questions and patient updates will be given to the liaison. An alternate liaison may be named should the primary liaison not be available. The patient or primary liaison will need to notify the patient’s nurse when the alternate is being used. Examples of a liaison might be a close family member, partner or best friend.
  • Children under the age of fourteen must be accompanied and supervised by an adult (other than a patient) and may not be left unattended in waiting rooms or other public areas.
  • UMC will not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, sexual orientation, or gender identity or expression in rendering services to patients.
