Dr. Pooja Mody is a board-certified general surgeon and fellowship-trained bariatric surgeon. Dr. Mody earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2012 and completed her general surgery residency at Stony Brook Southampton Hospital in 2017. Dedicated to advanced surgical techniques, she completed a specialized fellowship in bariatric and foregut surgery at St. Luke’s University Health Network in 2022, gaining extensive expertise in laparoscopy, robotic surgery and endoscopy. Passionate about patient advocacy, evidence-based medicine and expanding access to care, Dr. Mody has provided surgical coverage to underserved regions across the country since 2020. She values building strong relationships with her patients and feels privileged to support them throughout their health care journeys.
