Dr. Carmen Flores is a double board-certified acute care and general surgeon at UMC. In 2026, Dr. Flores earned the prestigious recognition as the only Fellow of the American Burn Association in the State of Nevada. She attended the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Chicago, followed by a general surgery residency at Maricopa Medical Center in Phoenix. She completed fellowships in surgical critical care and acute care surgery at the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine at UNLV, where she also served as an assistant professor of surgery. When she is not saving lives, Dr. Flores enjoys spending time with her husband and four children, in addition to cheering on the Los Angeles Dodgers.
