Childbirth Education

For soon-to-be parents and refresher class for those having another child.

Sibling Classes

This class prepares brothers and sisters to welcome a new baby in the family. Films, encouraging group discussion, practice holding doll babies and a tour is included. Parental attendance is required.

Infant Care and Development

Classes help parents learn detailed infant care. Includes: home safety, infant massage and child development.

Infant CPR Classes

Participants gain knowledge to administer cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) to infants and children. The class will consist of a lecture, film, demonstration and practice on a mannequin. Family members and baby-sitters are welcome.

Safesitter Classes

These classes are for young people ages 11 to 13 and are an intensive 14 hours, covering growth and development of children ages newborn to 10. First aid, choking and rescue breathing are also covered.

Breast-feeding Preparation

A two-hour class to inform and encourage expectant mothers on how to breast feed their babies. Birth partner and/or other family members are welcome to attend. Breast pumps are available for rental.

Infant Massage

Learn how to utilize this technique, the kindest interaction between baby and caregiver possible. Infants who are massaged are quieter, sleep better and are easier to discipline.

Hospital Tours

Tours can be arranged at times convenient for client and instructor. Guided tours of the Labor and Delivery unit will familiarize the entire family with the birthing environment and educate participants with the clinical details of childbirth.
