Epilepsy
Description:
Neurological disorder characterized by recurrent episodes (ranging from several times a day to once in several years) of convulsive seizures, impaired consciousness, abnormal behavior, and other disturbances produced by uncontrolled electrical discharges from nerve cells in the brain. Trauma to the head, brain tumor, chemical imbalances, and other factors may be associated with epilepsy, but in most cases the cause is unknown.
Common types of epilepsy are grand mal and petit ma.

Depends on severity and frequency of episodes and usually involves anticonvulsant drugs.
