Congestive Heart Failure
Description:
Abnormal condition characterized by circulatory congestion and retention of salt and water by the kidneys.
Symptoms:
It is usually caused by a heart disorder and most often develops chronologically with shortness of breathe, due to fluid accumulation in the lungs, and edema of the extremities
Treatment:
Includes rest, diuretics, vasodilators, digitalis, ACE inhibitors, and oxygen, if necessary.
