The Lions Burn Care Unit is part of the Southern Nevada Fire Setters Diversion program. This program is specifically designed for arson offenders who are children.

Mission Statement
The Youth Fire Setter Diversion program provides education designed to prevent families from experiencing problems with fire setting.

Who Are Youth Firesetters?

  • Children who are curious
  • Children in crisis
  • Children who have serious emotional problems
Services
  • Information and referrals offered seven days a week
  • Court-mandated educational classes for youth and parents
  • Voluntary educational classes for youth
  • Voluntary parent educational group
  • Document of participation
  • Referral to appropriate public agencies
  • Coordinate follow-through with youth and parents
