UMC Empowers Patients and their Families Through Condition HELP
In what is the first of its kind in Las Vegas, UMC is empowering patients and their families, though our Family Centered Care initiative. It’s called Condition Help. When a patient or family member calls the HELP line, an entire team of critical care professionals will rapidly respond to a patient’s room when the family feels something just isn’t right. This empowers families to get help quickly when they notice their loved one is getting sicker. While our patient care team provides expert attention to our patients, UMC recognizes family members really know their loved ones the best, and may be able to detect a problem that doesn’t show up through normal testing procedures. It’s the next phase in health care, and UMC is proud to have started it first in Southern Nevada.
