HERE’S A LOOK AT SOME EXTRAORDINARY NEWS HAPPENING AROUND UMC


UMC IS A GLOBAL LEADER IN MEDICINE

Three of our Trauma Surgeons are back home in Las Vegas now after traveling around the world. Dr. John Fildes has just returned from Iraq where he worked as a consultant to the Department of Defense on how to best care for injured soldiers. Dr. John Fildes, Dr. Deborah Kuhls and Dr. Dale Carrison traveled to Thailand where they helped train overseas physicians on Disaster Management. We have pictures of their adventures to share and detailed information about the education they offered their counterpart physicians abroad. We can set up one-on-one interviews with any of our physicians.

UMC Receives “Best Places to Work” Award

UMC is the exclusive hospital and the only government entity to receive the Southern Nevada Human Resources Association award. The award is based on programs and benefits targeting our employees in an effort to enhance recruitment, retention and a positive work environment. Interviews and video with our front line employees can all be arranged.

Santa Claus Comes to UMC

The children in our Pediatric and Pediatric Intensive Care Units are being treated to special holiday visits. The Las Vegas Wranglers, Clark County Commissioners and United States military soldiers are all stopping by to spread some Christmas cheer to our little ones here at UMC. This is a great opportunity to get some video of the holiday spirit being shared with patients who can’t be home for the holidays.
