UMC Renames Clinics as Care Centers and Integrates Quick Care Concept with Primary Care at Nine of 11 Locations Across the Valley

Residents can access expanded medical services and the same quality care at familiar and convenient location

University Medical Center (UMC) announced today that it is renaming its 11 satellite locations across the valley and expanding services at nine of its clinics to include primary care. Now, local residents will have access to an enhanced scope of medical services when visiting a familiar place – their local UMC Quick Care.

“Our new UMC Care Centers will make it more convenient for our patients to visit the facilities they know and trust,” said UMC Chief Executive Officer Lacy Thomas. “Under the Care Center umbrella they can receive attention for unexpected illnesses and injuries at UMC’s Quick Care and receive great continued care for check ups, follow-ups and overall health management from our qualified primary care physicians at UMC Primary Care.”

The UMC Care Centers offering primary care will house a team of 14 family physicians, who will be UMC full-time employees and will base their complete medical practice at the neighborhood clinics. These doctors will be able to monitor health issues and provide constant care for residents while having access to UMC’s network of specialists and hospital medical units.

“Our new UMC Care Centers will not only give our patients more choices regarding their regular primary care, but should also relieve some of the wait-time at the centers because patients can now schedule follow-up treatment with a primary care physician at the same location,” said UMC’s Larry Trilops, associate administrator of ambulatory services.

The new UMC Care Centers will slowly undergo a transformation to include new signage and to educate the public about the new services available. The UMC Care Centers providing Primary Care and Quick Care are located at: Boulder, 5412 Boulder Hwy; Craig, 2202 W. Craig Road; Laughlin, 150 Bruce Woodbury Drive; Nellis, 61 N. Nellis Blvd; Peccole Ranch, 9320 W. Sahara Ave., Rancho, 4331 N. Rancho Drive; Spring Valley, 4180 S. Rainbow Blvd. Suite 810; Summerlin, 2031 N. Buffalo Drive and Sunset, 525 Marks St. in Henderson.

UMC will continue providing Quick Care with exclusive drop-in care at Enterprise, 1700 Wheeler Peak and McCarran, 1759 E. Russell Road.
