CARA Donates $5,000 for Infant Car Seats
* * * MEDIA ADVISORY * * *
What The Championship Auto Racing Auxiliary (CARA) will donate $5,000 to University Medical Center (UMC) for the purchase of infant car seats.
Car seats can be damaged during a motor vehicle crash and damaged seats should never be reused. Through donations like these, UMC is able to provide patients with a new car seat and release infants from the hospital.
Championship Auto Racing Auxiliary (CARA Charities) enters a second decade with an outstanding record of charitable contributions and altruistic activities, focusing on children’s causes.
The organization was founded in 1981 with the intent of serving the professional open wheel auto racing community through charitable work and promoting the friendships of all those involved in the motorsports family. From a modest beginning, there are now more than 400 members, representing 50 states and two foreign countries.
CARA Charities’ membership is open to fans, and participants of professional open wheel racing.
The Champ World Series is taking place this Saturday, Sept. 24, at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
