Occupational Therapy shows concern for the functioning of individuals in the roles of everyday living. Its focus is on the development and maintenance of an individual’s ability to perform those tasks and roles essential to productive living: daily living skills, homemaking, gross and fine motor coordination, strength and endurance, sensory integration, therapeutic adaptations, assistive/adaptive equipment and energy conservation. Children with special needs are also included within the scope of Occupational Therapy.
