New mothers and fathers in Clark County no longer have to feel they are alone when faced with the task of raising a new baby. Parents now have the opportunity to have their questions and concerns answered by trained Family Specialists at the Family to Family Connection Center which is located at 1120 Shadow Lane (second building behind Del Taco - across from University Medical Center’s campus). There is no charge for any of the services available.
This center will give parents the chance to meet with other adults in similar circumstances and have an opportunity to relax in a supportive environment. Special events at UMC’s Family to Family Connection center includes infant CPR classes, infant massage classes, baby group play, breast feeding support, etc.
Parents may have the Registered Nurse visit their home to help answer questions they have about their new baby. The Family to Family Center also has a large variety of books and video tapes covering prenatal information as well as infant care, child development and other family issues that can be checked out and used at home.
For more information about the Family to Family Connection, please call (702) 383-7058.
