Over 6,000 babies are born each year at The Birthing Center at UMC, which offers state-of-the-art care and technology in a warm, home-like environment for both mom and baby.

The Birthing Center is the only one in Nevada staffed around the clock by obstetricians and anesthesiologists, and is supported by a Level III neonatal nursery – the highest level of newborn care available. UMC also specializes in high-risk obstetrics, including performing bloodless caesarian sections.
