When should I arrive?
Approximately 1 1/2 hours before your procedure.

Where should I go?
Check in at the desk in the Ambulatory Surgery Center, off West Charleston Boulevard.

What happens then?
Depending on the time your procedure is scheduled, you may be asked to wait in the lobby, or you may be taken to a patient area where you will change into a hospital gown.

Will I be in a room or in a bed before I have the procedure done?
You may be assigned a bed in a curtained alcove, or perhaps you will be in a comfortable chair. A friend or family member can also stay with you during this time up until the time of your procedure.

Where can my family or friend wait for me?
We have a family waiting area. This area is open from 6 a.m. until 7:30 p.m., and is staffed Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Your family or friend will be able to receive frequent updates from staff in the family waiting area regarding your procedure.

Will my doctor talk to a family member?
We encourage physicians to talk to family members after a procedure. Most of our physicians choose to talk with the family.
