Where do I go after surgery and when do I get to leave?
After your procedure, you are taken back to the Day Surgery Unit and monitored closely until you are discharged. You are discharged after the Day Surgery team agrees that it is safe for you to leave.

What if I need a prescription when I leave?
Depending upon your insurance, UMC has a 24-hour pharmacy, which is located across from the hospital's cafeteria. We honor all major insurance cards for prescriptions. there is also a Sav-On on the corner of West Charleston Boulevard and Tonopah, right across from the hospital.

Will I need to be seen here again?
No, you will be seen by your physician in their office for follow-up care. One to five days after your procedure/surgery, a qualified Ambulatory Care Registered Nurse will call you regarding your stay and your present condition.
