Definition:

Piperonyl butoxide with pyrethrins poisoning is an overdose (by swallowing or skin exposure) of preparations containing piperonyl butoxide with pyrethrins.

- Eye irritation if exposed
- Sneezing
Heart and vessels

Nervous system
- Convulsions
- Coma

Patient's age, weight, and condition
Name of the product (ingredients and strengths if known)
When it was swallowed
The amount swallowed

What to expect at the emergency room:

Some or all of the following procedures may be performed:

Monitoring of vital signs
Treatment of symptoms
Cleaning of exposed skin
Irrigation (washing) and examination of eyes as necessary
Treatment of allergic reactions as necessary

Expectations (prognosis):

Most adverse symptoms are seen in patients who are allergic to pyrethrins.

Piperonyl butoxide is of low toxicity.
