The intensity of the education experience throughout the three years of the program varies from rotation to rotation. Typically the first year is the most demanding. Regardless of rotational demands and schedules, resident physicians are expected to adhere to high performance standards. This includes attendance at mandatory conferences and seminars, being on time at the Family Medicine Clinic professional and ethical behavior, having an attitude conducive to effective teamwork, providing comprehensive care to patients and compliance with the policies, procedures and regulations of the School of Medicine, UMC, Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education and American Board of Family Practice.
