Children's Center
The Children’s Center at UMC provides a level and scope of pediatric services unavailable in any other single location. We know there’s nothing quite as important as the care of your kids, and you’ll feel it in every aspect of the center.
UMC realizes that children are not little adults. They require specialized care delivered by a specially trained staff. Whether it’s something as complex and delicate as open-heart surgery, or treatment for minor “owies”, The Children’s Center at UMC is equipped and staffed to meet your child’s physical and emotional needs.
The Children’s Center at UMC is fully supported by a team of specialists in every aspect of pediatrics. Special pediatric clinics include endocrinology, hematology/oncology, neurology, orthopedic services, pulmonary, urology, and even a special unit designed just for the individualized needs of adolescents’ aged 12 to 16. This comprehensive network of pediatrics offers a full range of services for your child’s every health need.
The Center also provides 24-hour, in-house surgery and anesthesia, x-ray, CAT scan and lab services, and an inpatient wing providing 26 beds for monitoring and observation. Play therapists work alongside pediatricians to ensure that a child’s hospitalization is as comfortable as possible. This commitment holds true in every service for children.
UMC HERO OF THE MONTH

Each child that is chosen receives a “UMC’s Hero of the Month” certificate, their picture taken for display on the “Hero of the Month” bulletin board, and receives a Wal-mart gift certificate.
